1. Bounce Back Game
UAlbany travels to its western New York conference oppenent, Binghamton, on Monday, Jan. 7 to play in the Events Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. The game is broadcasted on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel and can be seen in the Albany region on channel's 50 (SD) and 1803 (HD). This is the 27th time these two teams will meet in the Division I era, with the Bearcats holding a slight 14-12 lead.

2. A Quiet Rivalry
Even though most will point out that UAlbany and Siena is the #1 rivalary game that the Great Danes have, the Binghamton/UAlbany matchup is not far off. The Great Danes and the Bearcats will face off for the 90th time, the most either school has faced off against their current Division I opponents and most in UAlbany's history. The Great Danes hold a 60-29 lead in the all-time series.

3. Getting Closer
Senior guard Mike Black is getting closer to the Top-10 in UAlbany's all-time leading scorers. Black jumped four spots to 13th all-time, with his 14 points against Vermont, to move in sole posession at 1,280 career points as a Great Dane.

4. A Team Effort
One of the many team goals that UAlbany has year-in and year-out is to be a strong free-throw shooting team. Currently the Great Danes are shooting 72.9 percent and strive to break their current team record free-throw shooting-percentage in a season of 78.5 percent (held by the 1993-94 team). But one key goal that UAlbany is doing well is to make more free throws than its opponents make. At the moment, the Great Danes are +23 (256 FTM: 233 Opp FTA).

5. Road Challenge
The Great Danes are currently on their longest conference road trip, with Maine in the middle at home, playing four of their next five games on the road. UAlbany plays back-to-back road trips, already against Vermont then to Binghamton, having a pit stop in Albany vs. Maine, the Great Danes wrap-up with back-to-back games on the road against UNH then Hartford.
