Iati Named America East Co-Player Of The Week

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- Following a career-high 26 points against Navy, fifth-year senior guard Jacob Iati was named America East Conference Co-Player of the Week, on Monday, Dec. 31. This is the second time this season that Iati has been honored for the weekly conference award.

In UAlbany's lone game last week, Iati, who was nagged with a foot injury prior to the game, had his best game of his career against Navy. The York, Pa. native shot 8-of-13 from the floor, including six made three-pointers to lead all scorers in the game with 26 points. His 20-plus performance was his fourth of the season and sixth in his career.

The fifth-year senior co-captain is having his best start to a season in his four-year career. He is currently the second most-efficient shooter in the nation at 48.0 percent (48-100) from behind the arc, who have made 40 or more three-pointers this season. Through 13 games, Iati is tied-for seventh in the nation for three-pointers made with 48.

Iati and the Great Danes look to add onto their best start to the season, on New Year's Eve, against Brown at SEFCU Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.
