Three Men's Soccer Players Named To America East All-Rookie Team

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Three University at Albany men's soccer student-athletes garnered All-Rookie Team honors in the America East Conference, on Thursday, Nov. 1. The trio of Great Danes honored were midfielders Anthony Rozzano, Philip Persson, and sophomore goalkeeper Tim Allen.

Rozzano, a Webster, N.Y. native, currently leads UAlbany in points (8) and assists (4) this season. His four assists are tied-for eighth in the America East and first among freshmen. The freshman midfielder recorded his first goal and assists versus Towson earlier this season.

The Brisbane, Australia native, Allen leads all America East goalkeepers in saves with 91. The sophomore goalkeeper, who is in his first collegiate season between the pipes, recorded two shutouts this season. His first career shutout was against non-conference foe Yale. Allen's second shutout came in the season finale against Hartford to lock up one of the final spots in the conference tournament.
