ALBANY, N.Y. -- The University at Albany field hockey team remains among the top-25 Division I programs in the nation, as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association on Tuesday afternoon. The Great Danes, who have been ranked since the first week of the 2010 season, moved up one spot to 22nd this week.

UAlbany (-6) went 1-1 last week, falling to #12 Boston U. in the first America East Conference game of the season, before defeating #25 Louisville on Sunday. For the second week in a row, the Great Danes faced the 25th-ranked team in the country, and for the second straight time, knocked that team out of the national rankings.

The Great Danes were led by graduate student Jessica Longstreth, who scored a goal and added an assist against Louisville. Kelly Bonner and Daphne Voormolen also scored in the game.

UAlbany will continue its tough schedule this weekend, visiting America East Conference foe New Hampshire, ranked 19th, on Friday, before hosting Columbia on Sunday.
