Game One:

Stony Brook opened the day with a three-spot in the top of the first inning. After an error and a walk allowed the Seawolves to occupy first and second base, the visitors would plate three runs with a pair of back-to-back singles.

Verdolivo and Taylor Light would combined to pitch five scoreless inning for the Great Danes who entered the sixth inning down 3-0.

UAlbany threatened with a pair of baserunners in the home half of the sixth but Katelyn Corr retired the side to keep the Great Danes scoreless.

Stony Brook’s offense would strike a final time in the seventh, as Taylor Pechin hit a leadoff homerun to make it a 4-0 game. Melissa Rahrich went the distance for the Seawolves, striking out six in the complete game shutout.

Game Two:

Paced by three RBI from Maranda Jimenez, the Great Danes' offense came alive in the backend of Saturday’s double header.

Jimenez, Katie Falotico and Chelsea Henige each picked up a pair of hits in the outing, while Henige finished the contest with two RBI. Verdolivo pitched a strong 5.0 innings of relief as the Great Danes got themselves back into the win column.

The Great Danes quickly erased the Seawolves lead with three runs in the home half of the first. The squad plated a pair of runs on a Jimenez RBI double, then tacked on another when Henige laced a single to right field.

UAlbany later added another run in the third behind another hit from Henige to make it a 4-1 game.

Stony Brook cut the difference to one, 4-3, with a pair of runs in the fifth but the Great Danes offense answered yet again with two runs of their own to make it a 6-3 advantage.

Up three runs in the top of the seventh, Verdolivo retired the final three batters as the home team held on for the 6-3 win.
