HANOVER, N.H. - The UAlbany women's golf team swept both rounds of the Dartmouth Invitational to take home first place, finishing four over par.

In the first round, UAlbany set a program record with a score of 289 (+1). Megan Henry set another school record with a round score of 68 (-4). Freshman Madison Walker shot three under par with a round score of 69. Helga Einarsdottir had a round score of 74 (+2), Caroline Juillat scored a 78 (+6), Pasqualina Tartaglione scored a 78 (+6), and Annika Espino scored an 81 (+9).

In the second round, which took place on Sunday, the team had a round score of 291 (+3). Helga Einarsdottir and Madison Walker both scored 70, Megan Henry scored 75, Caroline Juillat scored 76, and Annika Espino scored 77.

"I can't even put into words how proud I am of this team," said head coach Colleen Cashman-McSween. "It truly was a team effort! They practiced hard prior and they went out on a mission to break last years team scoring record. And not only did they break it, they shattered it not one, but both days! To finish the tournament at 4 over par total for 2 rounds is amazing. We have come so far in my time here at UAlbany, it is almost unthinkable. Not only to have 4 scores under par this weekend, but to have Madison come in and shoot 2 rounds under par herself and a program record of 5 under in her first college tournament is incredible. We are very excited about the potential of this team! This season is going to be a lot of fun with a great group of ladies! We are very excited for what is still to come this year!"

The golf team will head to Boston for the Boston College Intercollegiate Tournament at Blue Hill Country Club next weekend.
