Connor Fields Named to 2018 NCAA All-Tournament Team
FOXBORO, Mass. – Connor Fields has been named to the 2018 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse All-Tournament Team, announced after the title game on Monday.
Fields was a member of the 10-person All-Tournament Team, voted on by the media and school SIDs attending the NCAA Tournament. Fields is UAlbany’s lone representative on the list.
The senior attack helped UAlbany make its first-ever run to Championship Weekend. In three games played in the tournament, Fields earned a combined 15 points off five goals and 10 assists, including three goals and two assists in the semifinal game vs. Yale.
UAlbany defeated Richmond and Denver en route to the semifinal round, falling to Yale in Foxboro. Yale moved on to win the 2018 title with a victory over Duke in the championship game.
Fields is joined on the All-Tournament Team by six Yale players, Matt Gaudet (Most Outstanding Player), Ben Reeves, Chris Fake, Jack Tigh, Jack Starr and Jackson Morrill, Duke’s Justin Guterding and JT Giles-Harris and Maryland’s Connor Kelly.
