ALBANY, N.Y. –Josh Egan has been honored with a selection to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Men’s At-Large Team, announced by the organization.
With his selection, Egan is now nominated for Academic All-America. Egan was selected to the team representing District I, which encompasses New York and all of New England.
The at-large category includes numerous sports not in an individual category by CoSIDA. On the men’s side, the at-large category includes fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming, tennis, volleyball, water polo and wrestling. Egan is one of three men’s lacrosse players on the District I Team.
In the classroom, the senior graduated this past weekend and has a 3.96 GPA in business. He was the America East Elite 18 winner for men’s lacrosse and was a member of the league’s All-Academic Team.
On the field, Egan serves as a two-way midfielder, playing in 18 games with a start, accumulating five goals, two assists and 15 ground balls and helping UAlbany win the America East and earn a trip to Championship Weekend.
