Play dominated in the midfield to begin the match, with each side having one shot on goal in the opening 23 minutes. Bracamonte broke the stalemate in the 27th minute, turning and shooting a line drive from 20 yards out for a goal inside the left post. UAlbany held against a pair of corners six minutes later, with Caroline Kopp and Claire Urquhart heading balls away to prevent shots. Bracamonte went one more time for the cage, missing wide as UAlbany led 1-0 at the half. UAlbany had the first chance in the second half as Sophia Eifler sent a cleared corner kick high above the crossbar. Vermont started to press in the 69th minute, as Leitner held on saves from headers off corners. Leitner continued to knock down crosses, then saved a shot in the 79th minute. UAlbany’s offense relieved some pressure with a pair of shots in the 86th and 87th minutes. Vermont had one last gasp with a shot from Sydney Cammeyer in the 88th minute, with Leitner making another save. UAlbany took the 1-0 victory.
