Play focused on the midfield in the opening minutes, until in the 7th, when Caroline Kopp fired a long range shot, hitting the crossbar.  The ball remained in play, but was sent away by CC.

Two minutes after UAlbany defended a corner kick, the ball came back towards the box and got away from Chen.  Prillwitz was nearby, got to the ball and scored close range, making it 1-0 CC.

In minute 20, Miranda Badovinac got a pass and sprinted towards the CC back line, firing low between two defenders, with Odom making the save in the middle.

UAlbany attacked down the left side as Vega won a 50-50 ball outside the box and had a shot blocked, eventually leading to a corner kick.  The corner in the 70th minute went far right and did not get off a shot.
