SCOUTING YALE
UAlbany posts a two-game edge in the series against Yale, leading 4-2 going into the fifth meeting. The Danes took a 64-60 victory last season in New Haven behind a late-game three from Evan Singletary. Brown's squad handed the Bulldogs their first home loss of the year on Dec. 20. In 2013, the Purple & Gold welcomed Yale to SEFCU Arena, emerging with a 70-62 win. UAlbany held Yale to a 31.6% (18-57) clip from the field.
The Bulldogs are coached by UAlbany alum James Jones in his 17th season. After starting out on a three-game winning streak, Yale has lost its last two at SMU 71-69 and at Duke 80-61. Both SMU and Duke are currently nationally ranked. Jones's squad was picked to win the Ivy League, and received one vote in the preseason national AP Poll.
