No. 7 Field Hockey Begins 2015 Season with Weekend Roadtrip in Ohio

2015 UALBANY FIELD HOCKEY SCHEDULE
ALBANY, N.Y.- The defending America East champion No. 7 University at Albany field hockey squad visits Miami (Ohio) on Friday at 2:00 p.m., and Ohio State on Sunday and 1:00 p.m., to start the regular season this weekend.
The Danes were picked unanimously to win the East Division of the America East last week, and matched their highest all-time ranking in the NFHCA Poll on Tuesday at No. 7. With two All-Americans and three additional All-Region picks returning, the Purple & Gold is primed for another banner year in 2015.
UAlbany boasts an impressive highlight reel from 2014, including a nationwide-best 14-game winning streak. Phil Sykes was named NFHCA Northeast Region Coach of the Year, after becoming the first male head coach in the history of the D-I NCAA Tournament to lead a team to the NCAA Semifinals. UAlbany won a single-season best 20 games en route to its fourth America East title and NCAA AQ.
