Willis opened the season at the Shamrock Invitational, where he placed third in the triple jump in 48’-9”, and 25th in the 110m hurdles in 15.70. He didn’t compete again until the Penn Relays, where he placed 18th in the college division of the triple jump in 47’-1”. At the America East Outdoor Championships, Willis won the triple jump in 49’-10.5”, and placed fourth in the 110m hurdles with a season-best 15.00. At IC4A Outdoor Championships, Willis won the triple jump in a season-best 51’. His collegiate season ended at the NCAA East Preliminary Championships, where he did not record a mark in the triple jump. After the collegiate season ended, Willis competed in the triple jump at the USATF Junior Outdoor Championships, where he placed third overall with a personal-best mark of 51’-7”.

Willis opened his UAlbany career at Penn State’s Nittany Lion Challenge, where pe placed third in the 60m hurdles in 8.46. He won the triple jump at Cornell’s Upstate Challenge in 49’-1.75”. After competing in the 60m hurdles and the triple jump at the Armory Track Invitational, Willis placed 32nd in his only long jump of the season at Boston University’s Valentine Invitational, setting a season-best mark of 20’-6.25”. Willis placed third in the 60m hurdles at the America East Indoor Championships in 8.37, after running a season-best 8.35 in the preliminary round. He also placed second in the triple jump in 48’-4.75”. He placed fourth in the 60m hurdles in 8.40 at Boston University’s Last Chance Meet. In his final meet of the season, IC4A Indoor Championships, Willis placed second in the triple jump with a season-best 50’-8”.
