Brittney Lane Posts School-Record Time at NCAA Northeast Regional Meet

MADISON, CONN. -- Brittney Lane finished 17th out of 250
runners at the NCAA Northeast Regional in a time of 20:24.2. Lane's time was
the fastest time ever run by a UAlbany cross country student-athlete.
At the regional meet, Lane improved her 6k
time by an incredible 51 seconds, to post the best-ever finish for a UAlbany harrier. She was the fifth individual finisher, missing the NCAA Championship cutoff by less than two seconds. The top four individual runners in each region are chosen. Lane was also named to the US Track & Field
and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Region Team.
The team finished 14th out of 37 teams, which was also
the best team finish ever for the Great Danes. In addition, the squads five-runner average was
21:44, setting yet another team record.
