Tuesday's Match Against Colgate Canceled Due To Hurricane Sandy
Hamilton, N.Y. -- In
preparation for Hurricane Sandy sweeping through the East Coast within the next
24 hours, Colgate University has canceled Tuesday's match against the
University at Albany men's soccer team.
The
non-conference game was to have no effect on UAlbany's seeding for the upcoming
America East Conference tournament. UAlbany (6-11, 3-4 AE) has clinched the No.
4 position and will host No. 5 University of New Hampshire at the Christian
Plumeri Sports Complex on Saturday, Nov. 3. Match time is set for 6 p.m.
UAlbany
clinched their playoff position in a thrilling 1-0 overtime win over the University
of Hartford on Saturday, Oct. 27. Senior Quintel Gates scored in the 117th
minute on a breakaway goal.
