Obeng-Agyapong opened the season at the Spring Break Classic in Carolina, Puerto Rico. He placed sixth in the 400m hurdles in 54.29. He also split 49.8 in the 4x400m relay that finished second in a season-best time of 3:13.90. At the Raleigh Relays, Obeng-Agyapong split 49.9 in the 4x400m relay that finished with the second-best time of the season of 3:14.06. After competing in the 400m hurdles at the Penn Relays, Obeng-Agyapong placed third overall in the same event at the America East Outdoor Championships, running a 53.33 in the finals. The previous day, he had qualified first for finals with a 53.07. After running 53.45 in the 400m hurdles at the UAlbany Purple & Gold Last Chance Meet, he ended his season at IC4A Outdoor Championships. He qualified for finals of the 400m hurdles in eighth place, running 52.92, and then placed sixth overall in the finals, finishing with a season-best time of 52.41.
Obeng-Agyapong competed in three meets during the indoor season. He opened at Cornell’s Upstate Challenge, where he placed 15th in the 500m in a season-best 1:09.53. He also split 51.9 on the third-place finishing 4x400m relay. After running the 400m at the Armory Track Invitational, Obeng-Agyapong placed 11th in the 400m with a season-best time of 51.64.

Obeng-Agyapong opened the outdoor season at the Spring Break Classic, where he placed third in the 400m hurdles in 53.19. He placed third in the 400m hurdles again at the Dogfight against Connecticut, finishing in 56.33. Obeng-Agyapong won the hurdles at the UAlbany Spring Classic, running a time of 53.43. Competing in the championship section of the 400m hurdles at the Penn Relays, Obeng-Agyapong placed 18th overall, running 53.31. He also ran the 400m leg of the distance medley relay that finished eighth in the college section, splitting 49.18. At the America East Outdoor Championships, Obeng-Agyapong placed second overall in the 400m hurdles with a time of 52.84. He also ran a leg on the victorious 4x400m relay. Obeng-Agyapong set a personal-best in the 400m hurdles at the Purple & Gold Last Chance Meet, finishing first overall in 52.14. He lowered his personal-best to 52.02 at IC4A Championships, qualifying for finals in second place. In the finals, Obeng-Agyapong placed fifth in 52.53. His season ended at NCAA East Regionals, where he stumbled in his race, finishing 45th in the 400m hurdles in 54.90.
Obeng-Agyapong opened the season at the Penn State Indoor Relays, placing eighth in the 500m in a personal-best time of 1:05.66. At the Great Dane Classic, he placed 26th in the 400m in 50.23. He ran the 500m again at Cornell’s Upstate Challenge, placing 10th in 1:07.36. After running the 400m at the Armory Collegiate Invitational, Obeng-Agyapong ran a leg on UAlbany’s second place finishing 4x400m relay at the Millrose Games. At the America East Indoor Championships, Obeng-Agyapong set a personal-best in the preliminary round of the 400m, qualifying for finals in seventh with a 49.54. In the finals, Obeng-Agyapong ran 50.03 to place seventh overall. He also ran a leg on UAlbany’s victorious 4x400m relay. He ended his season at IC4A Championships, splitting 48.9 on the 4x400m relay team that placed 11th overall, running a season-best time of 3:15.22.
400m IH: 53.34
Obeng-Agyapong competed in three meets during the outdoor season. His placed fifth in the 400m hurdles in his first meet, the UConn Men’s Dogfight. At the America East Outdoor Championships, Obeng-Agyapong placed second overall in the 400m hurdles with a time of 53.34, after qualifying first out of the preliminary round. He ended his season competing in the 400m hurdles at IC4A’s.

Obeng-Agyapong kicked off his career at UAlbany running the 60m hurdles at the Army Crowell Open. He placed ninth in the same event at the Penn State Nittany Lion Challenge, in addition to running on the fourth place finishing 4x400m relay team. He ran his best time in both the 60m hurdles and the 500m at the UAlbany Great Dane Classic, with times of 8.81 and 1:07.30 respectively. His fastest 400m came at the Boston University Terrier Classic, where he ran 49.67. He once again competed in the 400m at the America East Indoor Championships to bring his inaugural season to a close.

Obeng-Agyapong was a four-year letter-winner in both track and field and football at DeWitt Clinton, where he was named track captain and team MVP in his senior year, as well as defensive player of the year. He was ranked nationally in the 400m hurdles, and was awarded All-City honors in football.
Jeremiah Obeng-Agyapong is the son of Stephen and Gierici Obeng-Agyapong. He has two brothers, Stephen and David, and one sister, Esther. He intends to major in human biology.
