Taylor opened the season at the Shamrock Invitational, where she placed eighth in the 200m in 24.57, 16th in the 100m in 12.33, and seventh as a member of the 4x100m relay team that finished in 47.25. She placed 26th in the 100m at the Raleigh Relays in 12.33. She placed third in the 200m at Connecticut’s Northeast Challenge in 25.07, and third as a member of the 4x100m relay. At UAlbany’s Spring Classic, Taylor won the 100m in a wind-aided 11.67, won the 200m in a wind-aided 24.89, and won as a member of the 4x100m relay team that finished in 46.64. At the Penn Relays, Taylor ran on the second-place finishing 4x100m relay that competed in the ECAC Division with a time of 46.50. She also ran a leg on the 31st place 4x200m relay that finished in 1:42.46. Taylor opened the season at Penn State’s Nittany Lion Challenge, where she placed sixth in the 200m in 25.20 and 12th as a member of the 4x400m relay that finished in 4:16.39. At Cornell’s Upstate Challenge, Taylor placed sixth in the 200m in 25.20 and 11th as a member of the 4x400m relay that finished in 4:17.45. At the Armory Track Invitational, Taylor placed 41st in the 200m in 25.52 and 63rd in the 60m in 7.95. Taylor began her UAlbany career at the Penn State Nittany Lion Challenge. She placed third in the 60m in 7.85, eighth in the 200m in 25.82 and sixth as a member of the 4x400m relay team that finished in 4:03.67. Taylor was a four-year letter-winner in track and field at Teaneck where she served as team captain as a sophomore, junior, and senior. She helped lead her team to 2011 and 2012 Big North Conference Championships and 2012 Sectional Championships. She was named All-Big North County First Team in 2010 and 2012, All-Bergan County First Team in 2011 and 2012, and was named freshman team MVP in 2009, and winter and spring most valuable athlete in 2012. Taylor was a recipient of the Audrey Diggs award and was a member of National Honor Society.

Kahlia Taylor is the daughter of Goldia Robinson-Taylor. She intends to major in psychology.
