Albany, N.Y. - Entering her eighth year as UAlbany's Associate Athletic Director for Facilities, Scheduling and Event Management, Cara White has been promoted to Senior Women's Administrator (SWA), effective immediately, as announced by Vice President and Athletic Director Lee McElroy.

            In addition to her duties in managing UAlbany's athletic facilities, including SEFCU Arena, University Field and John Fallon Field, along with game-day and event operations, White will take on responsibilities in student-athlete welfare and enrichment. She will oversee several athletic teams and represent UAlbany on a conference level with the America East, Northeast and Metro Atlantic Athletic Conferences.

            "Cara has been promoted to SWA as we restructured the management team in the Division of Athletics for the 2012-13 academic year," said McElroy. "Cara has the experience and qualifications to facilitate the success of our student-athletes." 

        A native of Beamsville, Ontario, White earned four varsity letters as a member of the UAlbany basketball program from 1998-2002.  White and her husband, Josh, have two children and live in the Capital Region.
