BOSTON –Jessica Féquière was named America East Co-Player of the Week and Patricia Conroy was named Rookie of the Week, the America East announced Tuesday. It is Féquière’s first award this season and third of her career, and Conroy’s second career Rookie award. Féquière shares the Player award this week with Binghamton’s Imani Watkins.
UAlbany played two games in San Juan, Puerto Rico last week. Féquière scored 25 and 21 points against Southern Illinois and Northern Illinois, respectively, while grabbing a career-high 15 rebounds against the Huskies. The Great Danes won both games, bringing their season record to 10-2.
Conroy, who was named Rookie of the Week for the first time on December 11, scored a career-high 16 points against Northern Illinois, shooting 6-12 from the floor including four three-pointers. Since Conroy’s first award, UAlbany has won either Player of the Week or Rookie of the Week accolades in three consecutive weeks, and in four of the last five dating back to Kyara Frames winning Rookie on November 27.
The Great Danes will host Dartmouth at SEFCU Arena on Saturday, December 30 in their final game of 2017. America East play begins on January 3 when UAlbany visits Hartford.
