Molly Trott joins the UAlbany training staff as an Assistant Athletic Trainer starting in the 2016-17 season. She works primarily with the UAlbany men's and women's cross country and track & field teams.
Trott comes to UAlbany after spending two years as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Syracuse University from 2014-16. She served as an Athletic Trainer for Syracuse track & field, softball, women's rowing, women's tennis and men's crew.
She worked in the University of Pittsburgh athletic training office from 2012-14 as an undergraduate, working at Pitt, Chatham University and West Mifflin High School. At the University of Pittsburgh, she worked with the football and men's soccer teams and served as a mentor for first-year athletic training students. Trott formerly worked at the Saint Vincent Health Center in Pennsylvania from 2012-14 as an emergency room technician.
Trott holds CPR and AED certification from the American Heart Association and holds a NATABOC certification. She is a licensed athletic trainer in the state of New York and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training, and earned a Master of Science in Exercise Science from Syracuse University in 2016. She has subsequently earned certifications in Sound-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (SASTM), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), and Active Release Technique (ART) for the lower body.
