Tomlinson started his season at the Spring Break Classic where he finished third in the 400m run. He continued his season by placing fouth when competing in he 400m run at both he Northeast Challenge, the Spring Classic, and the America East Outdoor Championships.

After his record-setting indoor season, Tomlinson opened the outdoor campaign in Puerto Rico for the Spring Break Classic. He placed fourth in the 400m in 47.71, and second as a member of the 4x400m relay with a 47.1 split en route to a team finish of 3:13.90. He placed 10th in the 400m at the Raleigh Relays in 48.16, and second in the 4x400 relay in 3:14.06. He placed first on the 4x400m relay, second on the 4x100m relay, and third in the open 400m at Connecticut’s Northeast Invitational. At UAlbany’s Spring Classic, Tomlinson placed first on the 4x100m relay, second on the 4x400m relay, and third in the open 200m with a wind-aided 22.28. At the America East Outdoor Championships, Tomlinson placed second in the 400m in 47.92. At IC4A Outdoor Championships, Tomlinson placed second in the 400m in a season-best 46.75, after previously running a season-best of 47.03 in the preliminary round. Tomlinson is only the second UAlbany student-athlete to run under 47 seconds in the open 400m. In his final meet of the season, the NCAA East Preliminary Championships, Tomlinson placed 29th in the 400m in 47.14.

Tomlinson opened the season at Penn State’s Nittany Lion Challenge, where he placed second in the 600m in 1:19.98. Tomlinson set a new school record and was the first UAlbany student-athlete ever to run under 1:20 for the 600m. He placed second in the 500m at Cornell’s Upstate Challenge in 1:04.09, which converts to a 1:03.12. Tomlinson placed 13th in the 400m at the Armory Track Invitational in 49.14, and 14th in the 400m at Boston University’s Valentine Invitational in a season-best 48.19. At the America East Indoor Championships, Tomlinson placed second on the distance medley relay with a 48.8 split en route to a 9:50.58 team finish. He also won the 500m in 1:04.04, and placed second as a member of the 4x400m relay with a 47.6 split en route to a 3:15.34 team finish. After placing fifth in the 400m in 48.99 at Boston University’s Last Chance Meet, Tomlinson ran the 500m in his final meet of the season, IC4A Indoor Championships. He qualified for finals in second place with a 1:02.76. In finals, Tomlinson won the event, setting a new school record of 1:01.63, a time which also stood as the second-best in the country for the season.

Tomlinson opened the season at the Spring Break Classic in Puerto Rico, placing first as a member of the 4x400m relay. Tomlinson recorded a split of 47.4 en route to a team finish of 3:11.51. He also placed sixth in the 400m in 48.54. After repeating that double at the Dogfight against Connecticut, Tomlinson ran on the 4x400m relay at the Penn Relays that placed 29th in 3:13.94. At the America East Outdoor Championships, Tomlinson placed second in the 400m in 48.66, after running 48.54 in the finals, and first as a member of the 4x400m team that ran 3:16.23. Tomlinson placed second in the 400m at UAlbany’s Purple & Gold Last Chance Meet in a season-best 48.12, and eighth in the 200m in a season-best 22.09. Tomlinson ended his season at IC4A Outdoor Championships, placing seventh on the preliminary round 4x400m relay that finished in 3:11.00 (with a 47.3 split), and 24th in the 400m in 48.70.

Tomlinson opened the season at the Penn State Indoor Relays, placing 17th in the 500m in 1:06.79. He placed 13th in the 400m at the UAlbany Great Dane Classic in 49.35. He set a season-best in the 500m at Cornell’s Upstate Challenge, crossing the line in 1:06.48. He also placed first as a member of the 4x400m relay team that finished in 3:19.41. Tomlinson set a season-best in the 200m at the Columbia Invitational of 22.53 to place eighth. He also placed second on the 4x400m that finished in 3:16.89. At the Armory Collegiate Invitational, Tomlinson set a personal-best in the preliminary round of the 400m, crossing the line in 48.59. He ran 48.61 in the finals to place third overall. He also placed second as a member of the 4x400m relay that finished in 3:15.98. He placed second on the 4x400m relay once again at the Millrose Games, where the team finished in 3:16.91. At the America East Indoor Championships, Tomlinson placed first as a member of the 4x400m relay that finished in 3:16.27. Tomlinson recorded a split of 47.9. He also placed second as a member of the distance medley relay that finished in 9:55.46, and fourth in the open 400m in 49.14 after running 48.90 in the preliminary round. In his final meet of the season, IC4A Indoor Championships, Tomlinson placed 21st in the 400m in 48.81, second as a member of the distance medley relay that finished in 9:50.57 (with a 47.8 split), and 11th as a member of the 4x400m relay that finished in 3:15.22 (with a 48.2 split).
