Butterfield started her season with placing first in the 4x100m relay at the Spring Classic, second in the 4x100m relay at the Northeast Challenge, and seventh in the 4x100m relay at the Shamrock Invitational. She continued her season placing third in the 100m run at the Northeast Challenge and fourth in the 100m run at the American East Outdoor Championships.

Butterfield opened the season at the Shamrock Invitational, placing 23rd in the 100m in 12.49 and 29th in the 200m in 25.75. She placed fourth in the 100 at Connecticut’s Northeast Challenge in a wind-aided 12.31. She followed up with a wind-aided 12.00 at UAlbany’s Spring Classic, placing third overall. Butterfield was a member of the 4x100m relay team that placed second overall in 46.50 in the ECAC division of the Penn Relays. At the America East Outdoor Championships, Butterfield was on the winning 4x100m relay team that finished in 46.08. She also placed ninth in the 100m in a season-best 12.09, and ninth in the 200m in 25.69, after running a season-best 25.05 in the preliminary round. She ran on the victorious 4x100m relay that finished in 46.72 at the UAlbany Purple & Gold Last Chance Meet. Her collegiate season ended at ECAC Outdoor Championships, where she ran on the 4x100m relay that recorded a time of 45.86 in the preliminary round. She also placed 18th in the 100 in 12.22. After the collegiate season, Butterfield competed in two meets for the Bermuda National Team. She won the 100m at the XVI NatWest Island Games in 12.24, and placed sixth in the 100m at the Russell E. Blunt East Coast Invitational in 12.60, after running 12.48 in the preliminary round.

Butterfield opened the season at Penn State’s Nittany Lion Challenge, where she placed fourth in the 60m in 7.86, after running 7.84 in the preliminary round. After placing 23rd in the 200m in 27.11 at Cornell’s Upstate Challenge, Butterfield recorded marks of 7.98 and 26.55 in the 60m and 200m respectively at the Armory Track Invitational. She next ran 25.61 for 200m at Boston University’s Valentine Invitational. At the America East Indoor Championships, Butterfield placed 11th in the 60m in 7.81 and 14th in the 200m in 25.74. Butterfield’s season ended at the Boston University Last Chance Meet, where she set season-bests in the 60m, placing second in 7.73, and the 200m, placing 10th in 25.37.
