Pruyn opened the season at the Shamrock Invitational, where she placed seventh in the mile and second as a member of the 4x800m relay that finished in 9:10.87. She placed second in the 1,500m in 4:41.15 and sixth in the 800m in 2:21.49 at Connecticut’s Northeast Challenge. At UAlbany’s Spring Classic, Pruyn won the 1,500m in 4:39.22 and placed second on the 4x400m relay, earning a 1:02.6 split en route to a 4:09.33 team finish. Pruyn ran on the 4x800m relay team at the Penn Relays that placed fourth in the college division in 8:54.52. Pruyn recorded the race’s fastest split of 2:12.35. At the America East Outdoor Championships, Pryun placed fourth in the 1,500m in 4:32.92, and placed first as a member of the 4x800m relay, earning a split of 2:13.8 on the anchor leg en route to a team finish of 9:04.36. Pryun set a season best of 2:14.19 in the open 800m at UAlbany’s Purple & Gold Last Chance Meet, where she placed fourth. Her final meet was ECAC Outdoor Championships, where she placed 13th in the 1,500m in a season-best time of 4:32.48, and placed 14th as a member of the 4x800m relay, splitting 2:16.1 en route to a team finish of 9:07.44.
Pruyn opened the season at the Penn State Nittany Lion Challenge, where she placed 18th in the mile in 5:11.51 and fourth as a member of the distance medley relay, earning a leadoff 1,200m split of 3:47.7 en route to a team finish of 12:33.72. At Cornell’s Upstate Challenge, Pruyn placed 10th in the 1,000m in 3:01.09 and second as a member of the 4x800m relay team that finished in 9:34.58. At the Armory Track Invitational, Pruyn placed 17th in the 1,000m in a season-best 2:57.53 and 39th in the 800m in a season-best 2:20.10. Pruyn next set a season-best in the mile of 5:04.53, placing 63rd at Boston University’s Valentine Invitational. At the America East Indoor Championships, Pruyn placed 11th in the mile in 5:06.76, first as a member of the 4x800m relay, and fourth as the anchor leg on the distance medley relay. She split 2:18.7 in the 4x800m relay and 5:01.9 for 1,600m on the distance medley relay. Her final meet was ECAC Indoor Championships, where she placed sixth in the distance medley relay, splitting 5:01.60 on the anchor leg en route to a team finish of 11:55.69, and 11th as a member of the 4x800m relay, splitting 2:13.03 en route to a team finish of 8:59.28.
Pruyn competed in all six meets for UAlbany during the cross country season. She opened with a 10th place finish at the dual meet against Binghamton in the season opener, finishing the 5K course in 21:02.2. She ran her best 5K at UAlbany’s XC Invitational, placing 36th in 19:43.9. She ran her best 6K at Lehigh’s Paul Short Invitational, finishing 258th in 22:59.4.

Pruyn opened the season at UAlbany’s home dual meet against Colgate. She placed second in the 1,500m in 5:01.55. At the Upstate Classic, she placed third in the 1,500m in 4:55.00 and first as a member of the 4x400m relay team that finished in 3:56.75. At UAlbany’s Spring Classic, Pruyn placed fourth in the 3,000m steeplechase in 12:17.09. She set a season-best in the 1,500 at the Capital District Classic, placing third in 4:51.02. In her final meet of the season, the America East Outdoor Championships, Pruyn placed 10th in the 3,000m steeplechase in a season-best 11:55.09.
Pruyn’s first track meet at UAlbany was the Penn State Indoor Relays, where she placed fifth in the 1,000m in 3:03.96 and third as a member of the distance medley relay that finished in 12:31.38. At UAlbany’s Great Dane Classic, Pruyn placed 14th in the 1,000m in 3:06.67, and third as a member of the distance medley relay that finished in 12:17.72. At Cornell’s Upstate Challenge, Pruyn placed 20th in the mile in 5:17.85 and third as a member of the 4x800m relay team that finished in 9:42.74. Pruyn set a season-best in the 1,000m at the Columbia Invitational, placing ninth in 3:01.09. She set a season-best in the mile at the Collegiate Invitational, placing 29th in 5:12.68. Also at Collegiate, Pruyn placed fifth as a member of the 4x800m relay that finished in 9:07.36. Pruyn’s final meet of the season was the America East Indoor Championships, where she placed 12th in the mile in 5:14.41.
During her inaugural season as a Great Dane, Pruyn ran her fastest 5K at the America East Cross Country Championship, where she placed 46th in 19:48.97. She ran her fastest 6K at Lehigh’s Paul Short Invitational, placing 314th in 23:27.35

Pruyn was a three-year letter-winner and senior captain in cross country and indoor and outdoor track at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School, where she was also a member of the Math Honor Society, Science Honor Society, National Honor Society, and the Burnt Hills Leadership Training Program. She was an indoor All-American in the 4xMile in 2012, where her team finished second overall at NSIC Nationals. She was a Section II Class B champion as a senior in the steeplechase, and was a Suburban Council All-Star selection in 2010 and 2011. Following her senior season, Pruyn was named Most Distinguished Athlete for the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Class of 2013, and earned the Class of 2013 Scholar Athlete award. She won two team MVP awards for track and one for cross country. As a freshman, she won the freshman MVP award for cross country and indoor track. She won an indoor state championship in 2012 as a member of the Section II intersectional relay. Her teams won the Section II Class B cross country championship in 2010 and 2011, and the Section II Class B outdoor track championship in 2011 and 2013. Additionally, she qualified for outdoor states in the 4x8 relay in 2013, and ran at indoor nationals in 2010 in the 4xMile and distance medley relays and 2013 in the 4x8, and at outdoor nationals in 2010 in the 4xMile. She competed for her team at the cross country state meet in 2010 and 2011.
Schuyler Anne Pruyn is the daughter of Hendrik and Marie Pruyn. She has one brother, Hendrik. She intends to major in chemistry with a focus on forensics.
