Geiger competed in only two meets during the outdoor season. She opened at the Capital District Classic, placing 25th in the 1,500m in 5:31.57. She next raced at the America East Outdoor Championships, placing 25th in the 1,500m in 5:35.07.
Geiger competed in two meets during the indoor season. She opened at Cornell’s Upstate Challenge, where she placed 23rd in the 1,000m in 3:29.27, and eighth as a member of the women’s 4x800m relay. Her last meet was Boston University’s Valentine Invitational, where she placed 212th in the mile in 5:52.36.
Geiger competed in all six meets during the cross country season. She ran her best 5K at UAlbany’s XC Invitational, placing 88th in 21:10.9, and she ran her best 6K at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship, where she placed 263rd in 25:23.31.
Geiger competed in four meets during the outdoor season. She opened at the Upstate Classic, where she placed 23rd in the 1,500m in 5:39.60. She placed 13th in the 1,500m at UAlbany’s Spring Classic in 5:41.50. She set a personal best in the 1,500m at the America East Outdoor Championships, placing 24th in 5:29.14. Her season ended at UAlbany’s Purple & Gold Last Chance Meet, where she placed 19th in the 800m in 2:34.45.
Geiger competed in two meets during the indoor season. She opened at UAlbany’s Great Dane Classic, where she placed 30th in the mile in 6:08.15. Her final meet was the following week at Cornell’s Upstate Challenge, where she placed 38th in the mile in 6:01.85.
Geiger competed in five meets during the cross country season. She ran her best 5K at UAlbany’s XC Invitational, placing 63rd in 21:41.5, and she ran her best 6K at Lehigh’s Paul Short Invitational, where she placed 405th in 26:22.35.

Geiger was a four-year letter-winner at Ichabod Crane High School, where she also played tennis for four years, was a scholar-athlete, and was a member of the National Honor Society and the Girls Athletic Council. She won 92% of her matches on the tennis court, and captained the tennis team as a junior and a senior. The team also was a four-time Section II Class B champion during her tenure at Ichabod Crane. She was tennis team MVP as a junior and senior, and she was named indoor and outdoor track most improved runner for the 2012-13 season.
Katarzyna Mary Geiger is the daughter of Eric and Gosia Geiger and was born in Heidelberg, Germany. She has three sisters, Amanda, Zoe, and Annika. She intends to major in biochemistry with a minor in neuroscience.
