Gronostaj Named All-Academic

University at Albany junior Kyle Gronostaj has been named to the 2016 America East Cross Country All-Academic team, the conference offices announced Tuesday. It is the first time he has been named to a conference All-Academic team.

Men 24th, Women 22nd at Regionals

BRONX, N.Y.—The University at Albany men and women's cross country program competed in the Northeast Regional Championship on Friday in Van Cortlandt Park, the second time this season the Great Danes had run there. The men placed 24th overall as a team, while the women placed 22nd.

ALBANY, N.Y.—Two weeks after competing in the America East Conference championship, the University at Albany men and women's cross country team will resume action this weekend at the 2016 Northeast Regional meet. The Great Danes will return to Van Cortlandt park in the Bronx on Friday, November 11.

NEW ORLEANS—After a successful weekend at the America East Conference Championship, the University at Albany men's cross country program earned the 14th spot in the Northeast Regional Rankings, and made it onto the poll for the first time this season.

ALBANY, N.Y.—With the championship season in full swing, the University at Albany's men and women's cross country team will head to Baltimore, Maryland this weekend for the 2016 America East Cross Country Championships held in Jerusalem Mill Park. The championship races begin will take place on Saturday, starting with the men's 8K at 10:00 a.m., followed by the women's 5K at 11:00 a.m.

Udvadia, Sherman Lead at Great Danes XC Invite

ALBANY, N.Y.—The University at Albany hosted the 50th Annual Great Dane Invitational this weekend. Junior Ryan Udvadia claimed first for the men to lead the team to victory, while Cara Sherman came in fourth for the women, earning them first overall.

ALBANY, N.Y.—The University at Albany is set to host the 50th UAlbany Cross Country Invitational on campus this Saturday, October 15. The UAlbany Invite will serve as the sole home meet of the season for the Great Danes. The meet will kick off at 12:00 p.m. with the Jason DeJoy Alumni/Open 5K, followed by the Bobbi Palma Women's 5K Championship race at 12:45 p.m., and the R.K Munsey Men's Championship 8K race at 1:30 p.m.
