The University at Albany track & field program is preparing to embark on a stretch of the schedule that features competitions in five straight weeks starting Saturday when the team splits up to compete in Jamaica and at Connecticut, and culminating in the IC4A and ECAC Outdoor Championships at Princeton in May.
Despite not competing this past weekend, the University at Albany track & field program retained rankings in both the men's and women's regional poll released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Monday. The men fell three spots to eighth and the women fell five spots to 10th.
Following the team's second weekend of competition for the outdoor season, the University at Albany track & field program took home three of four America East Performer of the Week awards, the conference offices announced Wednesday.
