The University at Albany track & field program landed top-five rankings in the first Northeast Regional poll of the season, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced Monday.

In the first awards window of the outdoor season, the University at Albany took home three of the four weekly awards, the America East announced Wednesday. Harmodio Cruz III and Adrian Mitchell swept the men's awards, and Stephanie Osuji was named for women's track. The trio was joined by women's field performer Alice Barnsdale from Maine.

University at Albany Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Roberto Vives has been selected to coach Puerto Rico at the 2018 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Birmingham, England. Vives had previously coached for Team USA in the North America, Central America, and Caribbean Senior Area Championships in Costa Rica in 2015.
