ALBANY, N.Y.- The University at Albany Women's Golf team welcomes Matthew coach Colleen Cashman-McSween. "I'm very excited to welcome Matt to the UAlbany family. Matt brings a wealth of golf experience and coaching skills as a former collegiate golfer and assistant," said Cashman-McSween. "I'm looking forward to having him work with me and help further the UAlbany golf program forward in the national rankings." Ragovin comes to UAlbany after an assistant coaching position at St. Lawrence University where he coached both men's and women's golf for a year. Prior to St. Lawrence he was an assistant at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA for two years. "I want to thank everyone at UAlbany for giving me the opportunity to make an impact on these young women's lives, on and off the golf course, especially head coach Colleen Cashman-McSween and athletic director Mark Benson," said Ragovin. "I couldn't be more excited and ready to start my journey as a Great Dane. Coach Colleen has done an amazing job with the Dane's golf program and with our combined efforts on and off the course, we expect great things to come." Ragovin was a student athlete himself at McMurry University in Abilene, TX where he was the captain of the men's golf team, a member of the 2010 American Southwest All-Conferene team, and the vice president of SAAC. Graduating in 2013, Ragovin received a bachelor's degree of interdisciplinary studies with concentrations in kinesiology, business, and psychology.
