Down six with just over 14 minutes to play, the UAlbany women's lacrosse team rallied back with a game-ending 8-0 run to take down Yale 13-11 on Saturday afternoon, including a program single game record 10 goals by Sarah Martin.

Women's Basketball Defeats Maine 64-60 On Senior Day

Playing in the final home game of the 2016-17 regular season, in addition to celebrating Senior Day, the University at Albany women's basketball team (16-11, 10-4 AE) hosted Maine (15-15, 8-7 AE) for the second of two regular-season meetings between last year's America East finalists. Earlier this season at Maine, UAlbany fell by a score of 81-74. This time, the Great Danes opened up a double-digit lead and held off a surge from the Black Bears to take the game 64-60.

Women’s Basketball Hosts Maine On Senior Day

The University at Albany women's basketball program (15-11, 9-4 AE) will host its final regular season home game of the 2016-17 season on Saturday when Maine visits in the second of two scheduled rematches between last year's America East finalists. The Great Danes will also honor the four seniors on the roster, Cassandra Edwards, Aubrey Hernandez, Bailey Hixson, and Imani Tate, during a postgame ceremony.

The University at Albany women's basketball program (15-11, 9-4 AE) took its season-high six game winning streak on the road Wednesday for a rematch with UMBC (14-12, 9-4 AE), who earlier this season ended UAlbany's 24-game winning streak at SEFCU Arena. The Retrievers ended the Danes' win streak, outlasting UAlbany 63-60.

Hibbard, Willis Sweep Weekly Field Awards

University at Albany jumpers Anika Hibbard and Devon Willis have been named America East Field Performers of the Week, the conference offices announced Tuesday. They are joined this week by track performers Eric Holt from Binghamton, and Elinor Purrier from New Hampshire. It is Hibbard's second consecutive weekly award, and Willis' first of the season.

The Great Danes received a total of 71 points with the highest number of first place votes (5) in the poll, making it the third season in a row where the Great Danes have been selected to finish first in the MAAC Women's Golf Championship.
